How would you like to work with the most well-respected and friendly charity in the area?
We are always looking for individuals who are willing to volunteer, regardless of nationality or age and there are many ways in which you can help.

There are always openings for the following personnel:
- Volunteers to work in any of the shops in Xalo, Alcalalí and Orba
- Volunteers to work in the stores to help sort donations and ensure that the shops are stocked
- Fundraisers to help organise events
- Volunteers to assist at Ánimo, our Drop-in centre
- Volunteers to provide neighbourly assistance, such as shopping for the disabled or ill
- Drivers to take people to hospital appointments
- Volunteers to help with collection and delivery of furniture and medical equipment e.g. hospital beds
Spanish speakers would be particularly welcome, although this is not essential as much of the work is with English speaking people.
However, at the moment there is also a need for volunteers with specific skills to help strenghten the team,including anyone who has a background in:
- the social care profession
- retail management
- marketing/publicity
Become a Member
If you would like to be more involved with the future of the charity you might like to consider becoming a Member of JVH. For a small annual fee, in addition to receiving regular newsletters and details of fundraising events, you will have the opportunity to attend the AGM each year and help influence future plans.

Be a Friend
Not everyone can spare the time to volunteer but you can still help by donating money. The JVH Friends Scheme is for those who want to make regular donations to the charity. Donations in any form are always welcome but regular donations from as little as 5€ a month can help us to plan for the future knowing that our regular overheads are covered. It really does make a difference. As a Friend you will be granted membership of JVH.

Change For The Better
If you cannot commit to regular donations you may prefer to save your loose change for JVH in one of our collection tins. It is amazing how it all adds up and every little helps.
